Will that be much different than the one they are offering in 1/24th scale at Outback Toys? I have on order this one: 1/24th Limited Dealer Launch Edition Gleaner S88 with Dual Wheels. Maybe that is the same one? I don't see it on the site any longer either, I hope that is not bad news for me and they are not getting any?

Deerevirginia, Outback toys must have sold out of the 1/24th Gleaner S88 Launch edition, I know my local dealer has them on order as well. I am pretty sure it will be produced. The Outback toy catolog arrived at my house the other day and the Launch edition Gleaner S88 in 1/24th appears in it. Interesting Outback toys never got the 1/24th Gleaner S77 90th anniversary combine in, or if they did they sold out of them before they put the 90th S77 1/24th combine on the site. I don't think they cancelled production, or I hope they didn't. Only confusion I had, was that the Prototype 1/24th S88 showed singles, where the description says duals. They must be doing both a 24th "Shelf" and "launch" edition S88 Gleaner. Jason

Especially that they are also going to produce the S78 in 1/64th! as well. I will be placing my order for one of them as well! Very impressed to see two different model 1/64th Gleaners produced. The single wide flotation tires will make for an excellent variation as well. Jason B

I'm glad they are doing different variations. However I don't like how they only putting 1 header per combine.

Yeah, I guess they figure the price per combine would be too much $$ to sell as a set. Would be nice if they would sell both heads in a set instead of separately. I guess they are assuming that people who buy the S88 will be getting the S78. I know I will be getting a S78 myself. I have both versions of the S88 on order.

Jasonb, I got lucky the other day on the allis chalmers web site and saw where a guy was wanting to part with a S77 90th anniversary 1/24th combine. I made him an offer and it is now on its way to me in Virginia. Very happy about that for sure!!

Scale Models did a decent job on it. I am looking forward to getting the 1/24th S88 Gleaner next.

Question: I am getting the S88 with duals and corn head for the Product Release version from Outback Toys.
I see there is an S88 Dealer Edition with singles and a cornhead. Is that true or a mistake? Didn't know two of them were coming out?

Didn't know two of them were coming out? there is a dealer edition coming out in January. It could only be ordered at the product launch in Wichita. It will have slightly different paint and commemorative date on top of the cab. I don't recall if it has duals or singles. Seems like the one there had duals but it was not a complete model from China, only a prototype. The grain head was not even done then. Eric

Eric Eric, are you referring to the Spec Cast Gleaner S88 in 1/64th?? I thought that the Black Stealth painted S88 in 1/64th was the version that could only be ordered at the product launch? If not, then that looks like 4 different variations that are being produced. I had read a rumor on TTT, that apparently a 1/32nd version is on the way from UH. This was posted several months on that site, unsure if this is a go or not. I am thinking that Deerevirgina is asking about the 1/24th Gleaner S88 from Scale Models. There was one with duals as a Product Launch Version, and now there seems to be another 1/24th version of the S88 with singles. I am thinking the 1/24th Gleaner S88 with singles is a shelf version. It is getting tough to keep track of all the model Gleaners made, I have been collecting them for a long time, and I keep coming across different variations. There were TWO DIFFERENT 1/24th Gleaner Super 7 Stealth Black combines produced from Scale Models.... One for AGCO Employees and the other a Collectors Version... Only difference is the engraving on the cab roof. Jason
