www.farmtoysforfun.com/GleanerS88BlackDecal.jpg See that Vankleys have posted a picture of the limited 1/64th Gleaner S88 that is to come in the special black color scheme. They did an amazing job on the S88 Gleaner 1/64th in the regular color scheme, but the color of the special "Black wrap" S88 Gleaner seems to be a bit off. Maybe this is just the prototype for now. But if you compare the model of the "black wrap" S88 Gleaner, to the photo of the real machine in my avatar, you will see the toy is off color. I wonder why they did that? Scale Models was able to do a Stealth version of the Super 7 in 1/64th with no problems, but this one seems a bit off. I am still adding one to my collection for sure. Now for the actual production 1/64th Gleaner S88 in regular colors, it looks amazing. They made some changes as the handrails and ladder are now black on it, plus it has a color coded rotary beacon light on it. This should be a very nice model when it comes out next month. Hopefully they have some pictures of the S78 in 1/64th, that is to follow soon.

The colors do look odd compared to the real one. However I like the regular color better.

I like the regular colored Gleaner S88 myself in 1/64th, but I ordered both versions for my collection. I am not sure why the color on the black Gleaner S88 is a little odd. They did a chase unit for the Oliver 2255 for the heritage Iron series that was black, so I can't see what the issue is for the Gleaner. Still both versions look pretty cool.

Just noticed the new pics up today and was disappointed by the incorrect color. The real ones are a dark charcoal gray, not silver. I too hope this was just a preproduction error that will be fixed. The standard paint looked really nice though.

Yes, the Standard paint scheme is right on the mark! It looks very well done indeed! As for the Black Wrap Grey version of the S88, it still looks nice but am hoping that they change the color of it a bit more to what the black version looked like back in August. We shall see in March- April when they are released. This being said, I still think these New 1/64th Gleaner S88's will be the best detailed 64th combines next to the ERTL 7088's that came out a few years back. The overall detail on the Gleaners look really nice! I can't wait to get my hands on them when they are released.
