Yeah the header issue and the auger going flat out is pretty poor. I know its a pre production model but that HAS to get changed. I have my doubts if it will or not.

After seeing the combine at the showroom. I honestly may not buy one. Compared to the 2 red ones it is a joke. When you raise the feeder house the header sags over all the way to the table. I was very dissapointed when I saw it. The auger seems low when folded out. If the production model is as bad as the prototype they really dropped the ball on that model. That is unfortunate, but thankfully Moores will likely address some of the issues by bringing out new detail kits for the S690. I am sure they will. I am thankful Moores is around to produce these detail kits for toys. I will be buying 2 at least, and one might be sent to Moores to have the added details put on. Jason B

From the pics on Vankleys I was wondering how well it was built. Looks like a lot of plastic used on it. I would like to see one in person or get others thoughts before I buy it.

Time will tell though what the actual model will be like, theres more important things in life then worrying about some toy, yeah we may have difference of opnions but I will wait to see what the actual model is like when it is produced. I do hope Ertl does get there act together on some quality issues but I will keep buying from them until things get really out of hand.

It would be different if it was a shelf model. It is an Authentic. They are supposed to be the best. So far they have been. I hope this problem is corrected before production or this one will be a huge dissapointment. They are the precisions of our scale and they have a higher price. For the price they better be right. I shouldn't have to buy a detail kit for an authentic. That is my 2 cents.

The 16th 4240 Prestige was an example of a model with a lot of defects. I will admit its disapointing that they forgot the 4 way flashers on the back of the combine, like the real one or the 32nd version. From a price point, I can see what your getting at though. I am guessing Ertl will probably do a shelf model perhaps off this tooling as well who knows.

I will be purchasing one of these or maybe two, to me I think the dual tires need to be thicker and the rear tires need to be thicker aswell!
