new release from Ertl. saw it on TTT. 1/64 John Deere S690 Authentics Combine, with a 16 row head, and a 40ft draper. Arrives in December looks like a sweet model.
some of the features from vankleys are: dual front wheels - pivoting rear axle - opening body panel & cab door.

The local farm I help out on hoping for a S550 w/ 8r cornhead and 25ft flexhead. So I may get one of these for the shelf and one for customizing.

We might also be upgrading to a new JD combine since our 9870 is starting to rise in hours. Will need a set of aftermarket tracks though...

I would add it to Pembroke Farms since they are big enough for a combine that size, but the CR9080 they got is a year old. And they just bought the 9870. Which arrived back in the spring. So they are in no hurry for upgrades now.
It will look nice on the shelf with my other combines.

well cosidering the deere prices compared to the case price on authentics stuff i would buy the case stuff becuz this thing is prolly gonna be 40 50 bucks at a deere store compared to the 35 for the 6088 authentics

The other authentics we right in line with the Case prices. |

Tristain, I dissagree with your statement. Everything at a dealer is always going to be a little more pricey. I have a feeling it will be under 35 IDK

well the 6088 was 33.45 at the case dealer i got it at and the john deere stor in the town across from where i live they had combine that wasnt an authentics would be about 26 once they add the tax and then if you look at it the higher the model gets on the case authentics the higher the price gets and the s 690 is the highest s series model so it could be areound the 40-44 dollar area if you think about it

I don't think the real model is going to affect the price of a toy. It will probably be the same as the others. One way to figure out: Wait till december.
